Courtney Hope
Biography
Courtney Hope joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in November 2020 as Sally Spectra, a talented fashion designer looking for a fresh start in Genoa City. She originated the role on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2017 and departed the show in August 2020. Sally Spectra is the namesake to her grandmother (portrayed by the late Darlene Conley) on The Bold and the Beautiful.
In 2024, Hope was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She has two additional nominations in the category.
She was raised in Plano, Texas. Always with an eye for entertainment, at the age of 5 she began traveling competitively with a dance group which then bloomed her pursuit of acting, modeling and gymnastics.
Trekking to Los Angeles at 14 to pursue her career, Courtney quickly began landing roles on hit shows like Joan of Arcadia and Grey’s Anatomy. Courtney is also well known for her character in the hit-video game, Control by Remedy Entertainment, as well as Beth Wilder in Quantum Break.
To date, Courtney has filmed over 50+ TV, film, commercial, voice-overs and modeling projects.
Graduating from a performing arts school at 15 years, Courtney, started college on her 16th birthday, and completed her Associates Degree by the age of 18 with a major in Psychology. Courtney is a certified Pilates and fitness instructor and has a Nutrition and Healthy living degree from Cornell University.
She is currently the Vice President of the Breaking the Chains Foundation which aids in recovery and advocating for deeper conversations around eating disorders and mental health, through the arts. For the past four years, she has served on the Television Academy’s Peer Group Executive Committee (Performers).
Courtney is most recently pursuing her passion for writing, with some projects in the works and an upcoming publishing book deal. She also is set to launch a clothing line with an emphasis and awareness on mental health and self-love.
